Ten Years Ago -- From the Dynamite History Book!
Three Million Dollar Winner, Great Communicator Ten years ago, in the June 1989 Dynamite newsletter, appeared the following:
"Great Communicator brought his earnings up to $3,000,000 with another big win at Santa Anita over Memorial Day weekend. He receives Dynamite® Hot Tip(tm) for three days before each race."
Great Communicator won the Breeder's Cup Turf Classic in 1988, and was declared "racing's most consistent turf horse" by Jay Hovdey in the Horseman's Journal, September 1988. A Louisiana claimer, he was shipped to Santa Anita originally to fill out the barn for owner/trainer Thad Ackel. Started on Dynamite® then, along with periodic Super Stress(tm), his career took off, and the rest is history.
